What is alcohol?

Alcohol is actually the alcohol concentration or content of a wine. In English, the corresponding expression is "Acohol byVolume", referred to as ABV/abv, which refers to the proportion of ethanol in the wine at the temperature of 20°C, and is presented in the form of volume percentage. For example, 15% abv 100 ml of spirit in 15 ml of ethanol

The alcohol content of different types of wines varies considerably, with some sparkling wines having as low as 5.5%abv and some fortified wines having as high as 20%abv. Common wine alcohol content is usually between 8% - 15% abv.
