What raw materials are needed to produce glass products
Glass products are produced using glass as raw material and are widely used in various fields such as architecture, daily use, medical treatment, chemistry, etc. There are many raw materials for producing glass products, mainly including the following:
Sandstone: sedimentary rock formed by cementation of quartz (SiO2) particles
2. Silica sand: Natural sand mainly composed of quartz.
3. Feldspar: A general term for brick aluminate feldspar minerals containing potassium, sodium, and calcium
4. Limestone: Calcium carbonate rock.
5. Dolomite: A compound salt rock of calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate.
6. Fluorite: A natural mineral of calcium fluoride.
7. Sodium carbonate: anhydrous sodium carbonate
8. Glauber's salt: anhydrous sodium sulfate
9. Carbon powder: a powder mainly composed of carbon,
10. Additives: including flux inhibitors, clarifiers, oxidizing agents, reducing agents, colorants, decolorizers, etc.
Introduction to Glass Product Process Flow
The production of glass products is usually carried out in glass factories, and the production process varies depending on different products and raw materials. It can be roughly divided into the following steps:
one
After various raw materials for glass production enter the factory, they are stacked according to type
2. Pre processing
Pre processing of raw materials, such as silica sand, soda ash, feldspar, dolomite, limestone, mirabilite, etc., according to the plan, crushing, mixing, stirring, and iron removal treatment of iron based raw materials
3 Melting
The glass batch is heated at high temperature (1550-1600C) in a tank or furnace to form a liquid glass that is uniform, bubble free, and meets the molding requirements. Dirt and glass liquid deposited at the bottom of the tank flow out.
4. Forming
Liquid glass is placed in a mold to create the required shape of glass products. There are three types of molding methods: manual molding, mechanized molding, and semi mechanized molding. The molding methods usually include blowing, drawing, pressing, and blowing.
5. Heat treatment
Annealing, quenching and other processes are mainly used to reduce thermal stress, phase separation or crystallization of glass products, as well as change the structural state of glass. The glass is heated in an annealing furnace to reach the temperature of the strain point, and then cooled to room temperature at a certain rate
6. Processing
Including hot processing and cold processing, hot processing includes processes such as hot cutting, hot sealing, and molding, while cold processing mainly involves polishing and grinding
7. Inspection
Glass products processed and processed according to standards can be shipped and sold after packaging. Unqualified products can be removed and the cause identified.
