1、 How to seal a glass jar

1. Prepare a glass jar and wipe the inside clean with a dry cloth

2. Put the prepared food into a glass jar, take a piece of plastic wrap, and seal it. The sealing area should be about 24 centimeters away from the bottom of the bottle, and the plastic wrap should be sealed in 4-6 layers. 3. Prepare a thin rubber band or thin rope, and tightly tie it along the bottle mouth with force. The rope can be tied in 7-8 circles.

4. Place the cap at the bottle mouth and tighten it to the left until it stops.

2、 Self made sealing method for glass bottles

Method 1: Sealing with sealing ring

1. Firstly, if a regular glass bottle has a lid, we can add a layer of sealing ring on the inside of the lid. The material of this sealing ring should be elastic, which can be made of cow tendon or rubber, and it should be safe and non-toxic

2. If it is a wooden lid, it can be sealed with an additional ring around it, which can serve as a seal.

3. We can also add a layer of cling film to the lid with a sealing ring to make it more sealed. After storing items, we can turn the glass bottle upside down and place it to make it more sealed.

Method 2: Cork Seal

Close the bottle with a cork. Cork stoppers have a certain elasticity and do not produce any odors

Method 3: Yellow wax sealing

If you want to preserve it for a long time, we can also use yellow wax or special sealing wax for sealing treatment. Especially suitable for storing some alcoholic beverages.

Method 4: Water sealing

Another method is to place the glass bottle in water and use another larger glass bottle to hold it upside down, then add water, which can also serve as a seal.
